Three-Poi- IWK- - Page 13 War nt Cougar hoopsters just miss century mark in cage wins By Aldon Rachtle The Union Cougars lost to their s, Uintah High School by 23 points, January 9, but they didn't cry, whine or pout they just took it out on their neighbors, Altamont and Moffat County as they averaged 97.5 points per victory last week. Union whipped the Longhorns, 98-7Wednesday and crushed Moffat County, 97-8Thursday. Previously the Cougars nipped the Trojans in Morgan, 59-5January 6. Union owns an 4 arch-rival- 5, 0, 7, 8-- record. We scored some points, but we didn't guard any one. Tabionas boys hoop team is ranked in the top spot by both the Deseret News and Salt Lake Triclass. Following bune in the Tabiona in the News poll are No. 2 Panguitch and No. 3 Green River. Rich is fourth and Valley fifth. Unions Lady Cougars are listed as the No. 1 team by the Deseret News and was No. 3 by the Tribune in its girls' poll last week. The News has Snow Canyon, second; Uintah, third; Wasatch, fourth and Richfield, fifth.
