Roberts plans on attending college to study early childhood development, and wants to work as a dispatcher. The Northeast Region Sterling Scholar competition will be April 23 at Morgan High School. Students compete by completing a portfolio of their high 'lievements. This portfolio focuses on one of thirteen categories. Specialists in these categories will judge the portfolios. Students will also be judged on a personal interview. Winners of the Sterling Scholar competition will be recognized throughout the state. Roberts is THS studentbody president, senior class vice president and participated in 3 friends and seemed happy most of the time. His mother spent what time she could helping at school. She worked, but came in on her day off sometimes. Getting to know her Just a little helped me understand David's quiet success. She taught her children that all life is a lesson. Some lessons are like fractions-painf- ul to learn and leave us unclear as to how ws may ever use them. She taught that loneliness, and anger and frustration and grief are all leaaona. That we have to learn from them and become better people because of them.
