The team won the state contest in March and represented Utah at the national level. Parliamentary Procedure is defined as the orderly way to conduct the business of a meeting. Dm contest consisted of three rounds. In the preliminary round 44 teams competed and only the top 12 teams advanced to the semifour finals. From tiie teams progressed into the final round. Utah's team advanced through all the rounds and placed second overall in the contest The contest, sponsored by Ciba Plant Protection of Greensboro, North Carolina, was comprised of "Team DUST recently recognized the following students as first term "Citizenship Honor Student: 11th and Sara Palmer; tenth grade-M-eg Poulsen and Linzia Wight; ninth Ryan Mortensen. Aigyle, Suean Argyle, grade-San- dra Sherma Burt, Albert Foster, Dustin Grant, Nicole Heaps, Andrea Johanaon, Tennille Stansfield, Rebecca Swaaey, Michele Sweat and Will Taylor; eighth Aycock, Sara Faust, Shanna Green, Tara Hamilton and Kayleen TayAllen, lor; seventh grade-Er- in Valerie Montague, Melanie Park and Carrie Spencer. Each of these students achieved straight "Honors" citizenship grades in all of their classes. Each will receive a certificate acknowledging their achievement FFA is a national organization of 428,109 members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. The organization has 7,257 local chapters located throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands. FFAs mission is to make a positive difference in the lives iff students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
