' By Mike Boss A Utah Highway Patrol (UHP) helicopter pilot who reportedly lost power while flying somewhere over the Indian Canyon area as part of a search team is still missing after two days of fruitleM searching by hundreds of volunteers. Just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday night, a dispatcher notified Thorne the girl had been found two miles from camp, fast asleep and un- harmed. "Radar bleeps are helping ua pinpoint what we believe to be his line of travel, " said Duchesne County Sheriff Merv Gustin. Most residents and businesspeople saw a tax hike this year for a number of different rea-sa- sMs . , '& eeei -- ns ' One reason is the revaluation of property around the county. The County Assessor's Office said many properties have increased in value, particularly in the cities and the eastern side of the county. In fact, about the only place property values haven't increased is on the extreme western side of the comity. The Assessors Office uses real estate sabs figures to determine new valuations of property. Homes and land are selling at a higher rate now than they did a few years ago. Consequently, those homes and properties are considered to be worth more. Another increase you might find on your valuation statement is the ition of ajudgement levy.
