The arena at Western Park, Vernal, the Gusher Roping Arana and the Neola Arana will be ueed. The May schedule will be: May 6, Gusher Roping Arana; May 13, Western Park; May 20, Gusher Roping Arana; and May 27, Western Park. This year we have new barrel racing divisions. There will be a Green Horse Division for horses that have not run the barrels more than ten times. A $100.00 Novice Horse Division for horses that have not won a $100.00. A $300.00 Novice Horse Division for horses that have won more than $100.00 and less than $300.00. An Open Horse Division will be open to any horse. This year we added a Pee Wee Barrel Racing Division for the kids nine and under (nine as of January 1, 1992). Also there are barrel racing divisions for the older kids. A Junior Division for nine to 11 ' and a Senior Division, far 12 to 18. ' Thera will also be pole bend and goat ty. The pole bending division are $100.00 Novice, Open, Junior and Senior. The goat tying divi-- . sions are $25.00 Novice, Open, Junior and Senior. You dont have to be a member to come and run. You have to be a member to be awarded paints. Membership for Green Horse, $100 Novice, $300 Novice and Open are $20.00. Senior dues are $10.00 and Juniors and Pee Wees $5.00. Besides having the weekly jackpots, the dub will have the annual harseshow May 16 at Western Park. There will be a full line of halter classes, Western pleasure, bareback horsemanship, raining, barrel racing, pole bending and stakes race. June 26 and 27 will be the barrel racing ftiturity. At the futurity, there will be the ftiturity barrel race, a derby barrel race, a WP.RA open barrel race, a $250 novice barrel race, a $500 novice barrel race. The ftiturity has grown from three horses six years ago to over 20 horses this year. If you like to watch hones run, then come. The futurity is free to the public. Hill is the municipal finance officer for Roosevelt City Corporation and was previously associated with the firm of Ayeock, Seeley and Hill. He is a graduate of die University of Utah and has been honored by the Outstanding Young Men of America. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Ilicken is a severance tax accountant for the Ute Indian Tribe in Ft Duchesne. Ayeock is an owner of the accounting firm of Ayeock, Seeley and Hill in Rooee-ve- lt The Utah Association of CPAs is a professional membership organi- zation for over 1,950 certified public accountants. The Uintah Basin Chapter includes UACPA members in Daggett, Duchesne and Uintah counties. Founded in 1920, the association is me of the oldest CPA organizations in the western states with seven chapters throughout Utah. Governor honors child care givers On May 4 at 3:25 pun. on the steps ofthe Stats Capitol, Governor Bangerter signed a proclamation designating May 15 as "Quid Cara Provider Appreciation Day." This proclamation is sll inclusive honoring day cars center workers, family day care home providers, and mothers who stay at home to take care of children. The document shows appreciation for all those who are taking care of their children. Children and their care given , gathered on the steps to watch the signing. Representatives from the Professional Day Can Association, Professional , Family Child Cara Association, parents and child care advocacy groups wars in attendance. |
