July 10. 4 shana Loertscher ' Altamont High -- - School students who will be working on the school's yearbook for 19911992, are Collate Thacker, Analisa Miles (Upalco), Derek Dastrup (Alton ah), Chantell Jessen (Mt. Emmons), and Elizabeth Winkler (Bluebell). They accompanied Mrs. Darlene Dye, yearbook advisor at AHS, to Weber State College where they attended workshop classes on yenrbook production procedures for a week. They were able to get in a little play at Lagoon, also. Tyrell Tew, son of Craig and Bonnie Tew, and Matt Brotherson, son of Brent and Donna Brother-soBoneta, won placement in the Altamont Elementary School, Duchesne District, and on to state, where they won first place which qualified them to represent Utah in National History Day, June in Washington D.C. Their project was on display for a week at the campus of the University of Maryland. The project was rated as excellent They were accompanied by Bonnie Tew. They took the opportunity to tour our nation's capitol. The family met in Ogden, driving as a group; they enjoyed a melodrama in Jaduon Hole, then toured Teton National Park, erjoying a chuck wagon supper in Jackson. They also went up into the mountains in a covered wagon, where they watched the Indians chase the covered wagon; the Indians were subsequently chased away by the mountain men.
