Myton Elementary School ia one of two schools in Duchesne District participating in the breakfast program. An article in the December issue of ASFSA Journal reports that over the years research has shown that students who eat a nutritious breakfast outperform students who do not Recently scientists in Texas found that late meaning problem solving skills of were adversely affected when they skipped the morning meal. A study released in 1988 of low income children in grades three through six in Massachusetts found that children who pated in the school breakfast program scored eight points higher on the California Test of bade skills than children who did not eat breakfast at school. These researchers also found that dents participating in the breakfast program at school were significantly less likely to be absent or tardy than non participants. ASFSA leaders recognise the link between, a students school performance and breakfast eating nabits. She had a grandson report hie mission Sunday, and she visited with her lister, Rhea Lambert in Brigham City. Lois returned home Tuesday with Annette Dunsmore, who had gone to Rexburg to take her daughter, Brooks, to school at Ricks College. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Marshall and family spent part of the holidays in St George with her parents, the Leon Vances, and in Arizona with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Marshall. The Marshalls two sons are attending school in Ephraim. Ronnie has received his call to go on an IDS mission to Rosario, Argentina. He will enter the MTC March 28. Mrs. Cleons Remington spent the Christmas holidays in Salt Lake with family members. Her son, Garth, took her to Arizona to visit with Melby Reynolds, a for- - . mer Bluebell resident. Troy Cook was honored at a testimonial Sunday, prior to his leaving to serve an LDS mission in San Jose, Calif. A large group of family and friends from out of town were present. Afterward the group gathered at the Dean Cook home for lunch and visiting. Troy will enter' the MTC Wednesday, Jan. 10.
