Show LETTER L EDWARDS willard de dec 14 1915 editor of the box elder news I 1 saw in your last issue a piece writ t ten by yourself called we need more afore factories which was timely and appropriate I 1 prop to the condition of our county we need a condensed milk factory one or two and a cheese factory 1 I have been told that the condensed milk factory at richmond cache county is one of the best paying things for the farmers that furnish the milk and also to the stockholders and 1 I thought that perry would be a good place to establish one in this county somewhere near the 0 S I 1 li 1 perry has more room than willard as it is not penned up like we are at willard by the high rugged mountains on the east of us and the lake on the west of us perry has open country both east and west and has range for cows I 1 believe that every acre of land from perry to bear river by regulating things right can be brought to mate make good pasture we used to take the willard cows out there this industry would help both brigham and willard aind and we should get in line and establish one in the county but it seems to me that perry would could be the right place for brigham perry and willard as our milk now goes to ogden and out of cur county so you enterprising and progressive people of perry put your leads sad means together let us have one and some of us people of willard will cast our mite you in taking some stock with you and also furnish some milk as I 1 am still stripping old pet and Dur durham hamand and I 1 see some of my neighbors have hare fine cw dairy ry CO cows ws ciol 0 1 steins and jerseys and it would 9 give V us OB aged people a little to do night and morning and take our cows to the pasture in the cool of the day and would be healthy for us now mr editor excuse me tor for writing I 1 so much about cattle I 1 because I 1 was raised on a tarm farm and love to be e among cattle 0 mor zyfryd adit coalo am amser ser rown yn B I 1 teg ar gwenydd hircoe glas ar doley bwy addon 0 how pleasant it la Is to remember when us lads were herding blowing our big tin horns and along streams go fishing and when I 1 read bout about them figat ing in france and belgium along the rivers ray my mind goes back to south wales where I 1 used to roam along river towey and tare Tave and must not forget the ayron river that runs thru that beautiful little valley and sometimes tile the hounds come that way atter after hares and foxes and ot off we go on our horses after the hounds and over the hedges nobody had such tun fun and ralley like the people of the county of cardy 0 what good times we used to have when us old people were young in roaming over hills and valleys of dear old wales with its winding streams and its flowing fountains this fall when I 1 took a stroll over between tire the cement plant and bear river niver city and seen their fine apple orchards I 1 noticed a great deal of this sweet clover along the roads and ditches not being cut or made any use of f I 1 think it could be utilized it if attended to in season JOHN L EDWARDS |
