Parish Council held their meeting Tuesday, and decided to convert the back of the Church Lawn into a basketball court and parking area. The Boy Scouts would like to Elder Darvell Dean Hunt, son of David and Fontella Hunt, Roosevelt, has been called Brother Floyd and Sister Ora Labrum will report on their Fresno Mission Sunday, May 31, at 3:30 p.m. in the Roosevelt Fifth Ward. Master work and support, and congratulate him on his high school graduation. Mike is being awarded a S250 scholarship from St. Helen's Men's Club, and will receive a Belt Buckle and a plaque from Nine Mile Canyon Historic Trail. The Scouts also extend their thanks to Cloyd and Carolyn Davis, Mikes parents. The Scouts wish to thank Pat Musich for all of her help and support. Congratulations go to Laverne and Michael Musich, and Erick Smurk, who were nominated by the troop for "Order of the Arrow." The Scouts would like to announce a Father-socampout that will be in conjunction with St. Helen's Annual campout at Moon Lake June 19, 20, and 21. Sister Margaret Liam was asked to say opening prayers for the Head Start Graduations held . in Fort Duchesne. Activities at the Blessed Kateri Center in Fort Duchesne will be closing the end of May. Alter Society's Annual Rummage and bake sale will be June 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the church. Please drop off any clean items at the Rectory garage. Gunderson graduates in law Brent Merrill Gunderson received his Juris Doctorate degree from Columbia University School of Law on May 13, 1987. He was designated a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar after his First year and received a certificate of achievement in international law along with the J.D. degree. He graduated from Duchesne High School in 1978 and received his B.A. Cum Laude from Brigham Young University in 1984.
