Sharie and Craig will ' be married Thursday, July 10, in the Logan LDS Temple.. A garden reception' will he held Saturday, July 12, at the home of the bride's parents from 7 to 9:30 In case of inclement p.m. weather, the reception will be held at the Neola First Ward ' Chapel. All friends and relatives x are invited to attend. .Sharie is a 1980 graduate of Union High. Since then, she has graduated from both Dixie .College and Utah' State University with a bachelor of science degree in Art education. ' Craig is a 1981 graduate of Skyview High in tagan. He Berved an LDS mission in the Hartford, Conneticut mission. He is currently employed with Tri- Miller meats in Hyrum. The couple will make their home in the Logan area. and Mrs. Ed Voda, Mr. and Mrs. joe Smith, Rachel Jensen of SalL Lake were weekend visitors in Hanna. They will be honored at a garden reception Saturday, July 1 2, at the home of the bride's parents. Carolyn and Burt Bird took his mother Arsula Bird to Price on Thursday to visit her brother Clyde Larsen who has recently had major surgery. The Birds went on to Provo to the Temple and then drove back to Price and picked up their mother and back home the same day. The Culture Club elected new officers. They were on their way to Colorado. Saundra Price traveled to Ogden to participate in Tops Club annual State Recognition days. Saundra was honored as the first place winner in the teen division for losing the most weight. This award covers the entire state of .Utah. She lost more weight than any other teen in Utah that belongs to. Tops. Saundra is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Price and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lee of Lapoint. Other grandparents are Mr; and Mrs. Paul Price of Craig, Colorado and Mr. and Mrs L.D. Hilburn, Guyman, Those going with Oklahoma. Saundra were her mother Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lee and six of her club members. Mr. and Mrs. Iewis Horrocks hosted a Father's Day cook out at their home last Saturday night. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Horrocks, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Horrocks and son Patrick, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Horrocks and family, Mr. and Howard Horrocks and Mrs. family, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Horrocks and family. They all enjoyed a delicious supper and visited. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lamb and family from Provo are here at their home to move their cattle to the summer range on the mountain. Mr. Tony Winn Qame home to get married this past weekend. He has been working in Lovelock, Nevada the past two weeks. He is marring Becky Dye of Provo at the home of the brides grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Devan Fenn. They are honeymooning in California this week. with him. Mrs. Hazel Baum is staying with Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Rolierls for the summer she has spent the winter in Arizona with her sons and families. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Hackett and family of Salt Lake spenl the weekend visiting Mrs. Crystal Hackett and helping to put the rattle on the forest. Mrs. Ila Mae Gordon of Salt take came out and got her mother, Ila Casper and took her to Salt take for a while so she could visit her brother Frank Giles who is in the LDS Hospital where he had major surgery. Carole Turn bow of Salt take spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Berrell Turn bow. Beverly Roberts is in the LDS Hospital with blood clots in her leg. We wish her' a speedy recovery. The meeting included officials from the. Uintah Basin Association of Governments, Economic Development, Regional Review Boards and the Economic Development Agency. The Council decided to put the old lawn mower out for bids. Mayor Ludy Cooper reported she attended a U.B. A.G. meeting and they have decided not to support the Myton Food Pantry any longer. So the Council decided to pay for the utilities of $720 per year as they felt the poor in Hie area need this benefit. DUCHESNE NEWS Orinda Gee Annie Mezenen has returned home after lieing gone for two months. She was visiting for some of the time and then Bhe got sick and had a heart attack in California. She was flown home to Ogden where she spent time in the Ogden Hospital. Then she spent several weeks with her duughter and family. She attended her granddaughters wedding. Telia Grant spent a week visiting in Orem with her duughter Carrol and family. She went to the Doctor while she was there. ' lluby Thomas has been on the sick list the past week. Gary and Gloria Thomas and Chet and Rachel Henderson went to Idaho where they attended the horse races. |
