Show School Board Minutes Obituaries B. Morrill The Board of Education of Duchesne County School District met in regular session at its office in Duchesne, Thursday, September 13. Petroleum Products Bids cm petroleum products, tires and tubes coal, were reviewed, the board accepted the apparent low bids. Bids on tax anticipation bonds ($1,000,000) were also opened and read; the low bid of First Security Bank of Utah (7.2) was accepted by the board. Bartley Justin Morrill, infant son of Bartley Blayne and Micholle Janet Eldredge of Neola died September 13, 1984 in the Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He was bom September 10, 1984 in Roosevelt. He is survived by his parents and brother and sister, Parker and Jacqueline all of Neola; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Blayne Morrill of Whiterocks, Bliss Eldredge of Neola; Great Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Davis Morrill of Tridell. Graveside services were held Monday September 17 at the Neola Cemetery. anti-freez- e, New Policies The board approved, on second and final reading, the policy on pay periods and the district attendance policy; both policies are on file at the District Office and are available for inspection. M. Skinner Building Projects new building project (Roosevelt Middle School) was discussed. Mr. Caldwell reported The Mark Skinner, infant son of Nuffer Dale E. and Linda died of Roosevelt, Skinner, that the architects are proceeding with drawings and schematics and are planning on being ready to bid the project next February. The board has previously approved of locating the new school directly north of the Roosevelt Jr. high school and stands firm in that decision. The Superintendent and board will work with Roosevelt City with respect to resolving matters pertaining to sewer and water connections. Stamps for Water Fowl Every hunt of migratory water feed over 16 years of age is now required to have in his possession, a migratory bird hunting stamp. This is the requirement of an act of congress approved by the president, effective June 16, 1934 and designated to aid the program fra restoration of migratory water fowl by purchase of suitable breeding, feeding and resting areas. The stamps will be sold at $1.00 each and the proceeds will be used in the important program of waterfowl restoration. Hendricks is a member of Duchesnes Class of 82, where he was FFA President from 1980-82-, Hazardous Conditions County School Board Member, John E. Wiscombe, called our attention to a very hazardous condition existing near and on our elementary school grounds. During the summer months, automobiles and horse drawn vehicles have made a short cut road across the school grounds and even now, during school season, they are still traveling the same route. Mr. Wiscombe says that it has beat reported to him that an automobile driver actually had the nerve to make the boys stop playing ball during recess time in order to travel the cutoff. Mr. Wiscombe has had signs placed at both entrances to the grounds and if this does not stop the travel, he declares he will place watchmen on both ends of the grounds and have the trespassers arrested. Football Lights A delegation representing the Duchesne high school football booster club met with the board regarding the lights for the DHS football field. The lights were purchased several years ago and poles are now available, however, there is a problem with drilling holes for the poles because of the high water table and the cobble rocks. It was agreed that a test hole will be drilled, if successful, the other poles will be set, however, if it is not successful, then efforts will be made to coordinate with Duchesne City on the possible development of a joint use activity field at Roy Park and use the lights then. Purchase of Cattle Because drought relief purchasing of cattle has been ordered halted, according to a telegram received by Wm. K.
