In Rex LaRose has been appointed by the Ute Tribal Business Committee to act as the General Manager for the Ute Tribe Enterprises. making this change, the Business Committee acted as the Enterprise Board of Directors. After a meeting October 5, the Council came to a concensus that changes are needed in the administrative structure of the Enterprise. The decision was spurred on after the Council learned from management itself that there were problems affecting the operation. The leaders have also spelled out in a letter the full authority of LaRose in exercising delegated powers as General Manager through operaon tions, Hes the decision-make- r budgeting, accounting, he controls operations, property, marketing and day-to-da- y personnel management. LaRose also has the authority to hire and fire. In another letter, the Business Committee relieved Myron Accuttn-roop- , former Acting General Manager, of his duties in the system because the leaders feel he would not fit into future reorganization of the Enterprise. After discussions about the problems, the representatives agreed to reorganize, then sent a letter to Accuttoroop stating: This reorganization would exclude you as the Acting General Manager and appoint another individual to act in that capacity until further direction from the Board of Directors. The letter also said the Council appreciated Myron's running the operation of Bottle Hollow Inn, and regretted informing him of their action. 17 lection set . pool vunclin possibility of constructing an outdoor pool, with an inflatable bubble, with four raquetball courts. Luck panted out that to bond for such a facility would cost City residents about $55 per year. Roosevelt has been planning to provide $10,000 from their budget for the project. In addition to this they would request funding from Duchesne County because of the number of County residents who use the pod. A motion was made, and seconded, to hold a bond election for the two projects together. With planning at the present stage, the election wouldn't be held until, at the earliest, February. The motion was passed and plans along those lines will be progressing. Ballard City was honored by Community Progress for their efforts from September 1, 1980 to September 1, 1982.
