Show Thursday. July 11982 Uintah Basin Standard DUCHESNE NEWS Tamara Gamer Mrs. Carrie Giles has been hired as the new City ClerkRecord-er- . She started June 24. Mrs. Giles is new to Duchesne. She and and Skip, three children moved here from Parker Dam, Calif., and have been here nearly four weeks. Mr. Giles is a civil engineer and will be working on the Upper Stillwater Dam Project. Polly Jimenez, who held the position previously, has taken employment as clerktypist with the Forest Service in Roosevelt. Welcome to Duchesne, Carrie. Gordon Farnsworth has returned from a BYU Study Group Tour of Israel and Egypt. He was with a group of nearly 100 mainly from Utah and California. The purpose of the trip was a historical study of the background of religion, political science, geography, and archeology. They toured major cities in Egypt (Cairo, Luxor); spent three weeks studying in the Gallilee area studying artifacts Paint &Glass Ful-Sta- in TABIONA NEWS Connie Lee Mrs. Carlene Wil- liams and her mother, Grace Slater, Ogden, went on vacation this week in Southern Utah. They visited at Manti: spent time with daughter and husband, Jodie and family at Beaver; went to Washington (Utah) and Cedar City; saw relatives they have not seen for years. Her children were all coming home for the weekend. e Mrs. Elaine Curry and children and Mrs. Evelyn Jones spent Wednesday and Thursday in Salt Lake where Elaine kept a doctor appointment and they visited relatives and shopped. Mrs. Evelyn Jones took Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee, Mrs. Michele Lee and children to Salt Lake Monday. Ray was admitted to St. Mark's Hospital for leg surgery. Mrs. Lee also kept a doctor appointment and Michele had eye appointments for her children. o A large group of girls went on the three-da- y camp at Yellowstone.
