The next season that begins September 19 is the Forest Grouse, but this season continues until November 30. According to the proclamation the entire state is open with a daily bag limit of four and a possession limit of eight. According to the DWR, the best Forest or Blue Grouse hunting will be in the lower aspen belts. They add that hunting will be similar to the past four to five years. Duchesne and Umtah Counties will open to pheasant hunting between the dates of November 7 and 22. The DWR is forecasting that hunting should be slightly better than last year in Duchesne County with habitat loss minimal. The Pleasant Valley area and u; areas south of Roosevelt and near Randlett should provide good hunting. The outlook for Uintah County, however, is not as favorable. There are as many birds, according to DWR, but habitat loss has been considerable. Bag limits are two cocks per day, with a possession limit of four.
