Pickup t Elwood Pickup died Friday, March 6. 1981, of a stroke in Solbuyville, Calif. He was born May 19, 1902 in Vernal to George Melvin and Sarah Edith Keiler Pickup. Mr. Pickup was a former resident of Roosevelt. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, a daughter and two sons, a sister, Mabel Ashby Smith, Murray. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 10, in Solbuyville, Calif. L Santio Ida Tahreep Santio, age 86, of Ouray, died Thursday, March 5, in a Roosevelt nursing home. Mrs. Santio was born June 15, 1894 in the Uintah Basin. She married Jack Santio. He proceeded her in death on March 29, 1968. Survivors include: sons and daught- ers, Clara Ankerpont, Fort Duchesne, Dan Santio, Lapoint, Kenneth Santio, Fort Duchesne, and Ida Harding, Neola.
