They also spent a day at the State Fair. e Mr. and Mrs. David Hunt and Carolyn Woodward went to Cedar City to visit Fontella's brother, Gerald Howes and his family. They also spent some time in Junction, e The following Seventh Ward Scouts went on a trip to Timpanogos Cave Saturday: Nathan Powell, Stewart White, Chad Hamblin, Kent Matthew HambClark Wilkeraon, lin, Travis Powell, Kirk Brant Lawson, Jason Noche, Robert Hamblin, Blair Hamblin, Gar Powell, Kevin HamWil-kerso- n, Wil-kerso- n, Shari lyn Springer and Brian Bachmeier demonstrate light intensity and how light travels in a. straight line during a 5th grade science unit on light. The students are in Mr. Duke's class at East Elementary. Dennis Jensen, president of Elder's Quorum of Seventh Ward, was the featured speaker. A quartet composed of Hazel Jensen, Linda White, Joyce and Gwena Powell sang, and were accompanied by Alton PowelL Refreshments were served, e Bryan Hardy, Sandra Rlchens, LaRue Smuin, Darlene Jones, Carol Latham, Connie Southern, Catherine Day, Me-d- a Duncan, Ken Hatch, Fay Muir, Marvin Richardson, Eula vonLarsen, and the Young Special Interest group and their children from Vernal and Roosevelt had a hayride and outing at the Nelson ranch. The event was hosted by Penny Christensen and sons Dennis and Joe, and her brother, Randy Nelson. Over a campfire they cooked potatoes and ear corn. Homemade ice cream Saturday to participate in Temple Day were Bishop Jensen, Ervin Young, Dean Hamblin, Ruth Hamblin, Carolyn Woodward, Hazel Jensen, Ruth Haslem, Susan Haslem, Eric and Sheila Houtz, Harry and Fontel-l- a Tomlinson, Bruce and Linda White, Duane and Alice Hamblin and Doyle and Shirley Wilkins, e The Mutual activity, night was held at the hall Ward Seventh where a Walt Disney movie was shown. The Scouts sponsored a bake sale and refreshments were served, e Mrs. Dora Freston is staying with her daughter, Verna Durphy, in Granger, following a ten-da- y stay in Holy Cross hospital for a broken hip. All her friends send best wishes for her complete recovery. e Monday evening, Penny Christensen entertained at her home for her mother, Nola Nelson's birthday.. A special cake, ice cream and punch were served to family guests. Table games were played, e The family members of James Powell hosted a fandango party Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James PowelL There were approximately present. Dancing all ages, homemade ice cream, homemade root beer and cookies were served. Guy Timothy, Salt Lake, brought Hanna Tracy Roberts 43-54- Mr. and Mrs. Guy Tice, Hemet, Calif., spent a week visiting Mrs. Ila Casper and other relatives and friends. They funeral also attended services for Francis Brooks. The Tice's left Saturday fin California, e Mr. and Mrs. Max Giles and grandson Brad, spent last weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Defa. e Mr. and Mrs. June Roberts spent Friday and Saturday in Salt Lake visiting Mr. and Mrs. Robert Casper, e Mr. and Mrs. Aldo Constandino and Shelia and Brent, Mrs. Stella Frazzini and son Marco, all Rock Springs, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Marai-n- i and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Defa, and Mr. and Mrs. Yohan Defa, Salt Lake; spent last weekend in Hanna.
