The Union high echoed team will meet the top team from Region 8 at 11:80 p.m. March 13, Thursday (today), in the Harriot Center on the Brighiun Young ' University campus. The Cougars ended their' season with a 4 region record and were tied with Morgan for the second place position. Upion lost the coin flip, which decided which team would be second or third in the region. Both teams play equally tough teams at the state l.tourney. Morgan will play at 6 p.m. Thursday, and will meet the Region gs No. 2 squad. Wasatch took first place in the regionThey will meet the n 8VNo. 4 team at 2:80 p.m. Thursday. Three Cougars sewed twenty w more points in the Intermountain game. Kyle Mansfield netted 23, Clay Harrison, 21, and Tracy Nielsen, 20. Tracy Dye garnered 10 points for the Cougars snd Steven Robb 9. Mansfield snd Harrison did a good job on rebounds, too. Mansfield esme up with 13 snd Harrison 16. Intermountain was ahead of the Cougars at the end of the first quarter by three prints. The Cougars outscor-e- d the Intermountain team 23-- 6 in the second quarter. The Cougars never relinquished the lead and were ahead 7 when the final buzzer sounded. They performed selections from famous operas snd told a little about the art form. The Honor Society is celebrating March Music Appreciation Week, 10-1by playing music in the halls during the lunch hours. In conjunction with music week, they are also sponsoring a drawing for a stereo. The drawing will be held Friday, March 21. The student government is sponsoring a car show March 20.
