Show Manti temple scene of Duncan wedding fV'- W Miss Laurie Duncan and Tom Davis were united in marriage Aug. 19 in ceremonies at the Manti LDS Temple. Ross Boyack officiated at the sealing. Pkrenta of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. ElRay Duncan, Neola, and Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Davis, Helper. A reception honored the couple the same evening in the Neola Ward cultural hall and they were again feted at an open house Sept. 1 in the Helper Civic Auditorium. They greeted guests before backdrops of Austrian poof and silver, with a wedding arch trimmed with greenery at the center. Lighted columns bore srrangementa of white carnations and peach and blue daisies and gladiolus. The bride's gown was fashioned of white crepe with a chiffon overlay with a fitted waistline and full skirt, flowing to a chapel train. The long, puffed chiffon sleeves ended in a wide cuff, and, along with the bodice and skirt, were trimmed in lace and lace appliques. The very high collar was also trimmed with lace. The skirt and train were edged by a deep ruffle, again trimmed with lace. Her long, two-tie- r veil was trimmed in matching lace and held in place by a lace Juliet cap. She carried a cascade of blue and peach silk daisies and peach silk roses. Lisa Davis, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and Audrey Uresk, LouAnn Young, Nonia Larsen and Marianne Duncan were bridesmaids, while Rosanne Duncan and Marsha Duncan served as flower girls. All wore tiered dresses of peach cotton print, with dark peach underskirts. The dresses tied st the neck and had puffed sleeves. Each girl carried a bouquet of blue and peach silk daisies. Thq mothers of the bride and groom chose, long peach crepe dresses in an style tied at the neck and with tie beets. Beef recipe contest four-tiere- bells, featured the four cakes which formed the bottom tier revolving on its base. Teresa Houston, Shiela Duncan and Allison Draney were in charge of serving with Nadine Zager, Sheryl Olsen and Margie Houston assisting in the kitchen. Cheryl Rasmussen, Verna Hoopes and Evelyn Hoopes were in charge of gifts and Calleen Haslem sat at the guest book. The bride's uncle, Arden Stewart was master of ceremonies for a program which included tap dances by Marianne Duncan and Karen Penfield, songs by Lori Yack and Dorothy Peltier, a chalk talk by Nonia Larsen and organ-pian- o duets by Verna Hoopes and Dan Haslem. Following a honeymoon trip to Los Angeles and surrounding areas, the couple are making their home in Helper. Temple rites for them Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Hart, Riverton, Wya, announce the marriage of their daughter, Lorraine Fay, to Sherel Goodrich, son of Mrs. Virginia Hansen, Salt Lake City, and Owen Goodrich, Rigby, Ida. The ceremony will take place in the Manti LDS Temple on Thursday, Sept 28 (today). Mr. Goodrich is a former resident of Tridell. He was employed for several years with the U.S. Forest Service in the Vernal and Duchesne areas, and is presently with the Forest Service in Austin, Nev., where the couple will make their home. Miss Hart has also been with the Forest Service in .the Provo and Milford areas. The couple will be honored at a reception in Riverton, Wyo., on Sept. 30.
