The Dino representatives included Blake Wilde and Zac Cloward, two Carbon players that will be greatly missed next season. The Dino proved Sports reporter - At the 'conclusion of each high school baseball season, the annual state game marks the passing of a year of baseball excitment Each year, teams are announced which comprise of seniors from each high school division. Ibis all-st- compete in Iwo-so- me ar all-st- ar two-so- this season just how talented they are, but it was now time for the star athletes to shine before a crowd of state baseball enthusiasts. The game which pitted the north and south 3A teams against one another proved to be a game of determination and talent. In fact, both teams came with only one thing in mind, and that was to win. The teams only managed a each through eight was the bottom of inning in which the North team broke through with a single to left field which pushed the team one run ahead of the South. The ninth inning turned out to be unsuccessful for the South who failed to score a run, leading to a 3A North victory, Although the team in which the Dino players represented did not walk away with the win, Wilde did manage to step up for the team in the top of the eighth inning. Wilde hit a single in the inning which was about the offensive highlights of the game for the South team. The game is one in which has become a tradition in high school baseball. In fact, this season marked the 38th year in which the show down has been held. lb be added to the roster of players is an honor for high school seniors. In fact, several major league players have competed in the event proving that the annual game attracts not only baseball enthusiasts, but also major league talent scouts.
