Wellington staff and students have been focusing on developing responsibility reRpect and integrity to improve the social climate of our school We want our school population to. demonstrate these lifelong positive qualities. As an incentive to encouragc good be--havior and attitude, we sponsor activities throughout the year for. .students who demonstrate these attributes. We have older students organizing games, such as jump rope, and directing activities with the younger students! PTA Book Rain The PTA sponsored a book fair that was so successful that teachers were given the opportunity to pick out $100 worth of books for each of their classrooms. All profits were returned tothe school Teacher Computer . Training: Teacher have been participating a wide: variety of computer training offered by the District. Wp. wish to enable our students to develop lifetime technology nn by improving the quality of Instruction. Kaue Alberts, Deznnee Duran and Jack Jensen are obviously enjoying the activity. Students plan their menus, organize supplies, and do their ovm cooking on a large tin can.. Moms and dads often stop by to give helpful suggestions and cooking tips. (Of - course, not even moms and dads have much tin can cooking experience.) At the end of the activity students write a paper detailing the events of the day. The paper records special memories including successes and disasters such as feeding the asphalt eggs.
