In a penalty field contest, the Broncos scored early and often and coasted to the win. , The Broncos opened the scoring when Colby Turk blasted in from seven yards out. Minutes later, the Broncos scored another touchdown, this time on a 12 yard run by David Dalton. When Logan Shumway caught a 21 yard pass from Jens Nielson, the rout was on. Booster Club to meet Thursday The Monticello High School booster club will have a meal football game on Thursday, September 19. With the win, San Juan improves to 0 in region play and 1 overall. The win over Richfield sets up an important game in Blanding on Friday, 2-- 3-- 20, when the Bron- cos host the Beaver Beavers. San Juan and Beaver are neck and neck near the top of the 2A standings and have nearly identical power ratings. It should be a barn burner in Blanding, with kickoff scheduled at 7 p.m. New course record at the Hideout Chad Perkins shot a 75 to claim the low gross score (and a new course record) at the Mens League Tournament at the Hideout Golf Club on September 14. Perkins was followed by Doug Pehrson and Tony Wojcik in the A flight. Low net score in A flight was turned in by Jeff Johnson, followed by Dell Hunter and In B Flight, the low gross score was turned in by Shane Brewer, followed by Fred Snyder and Keith Ivins. The low net score in B flight was turned in by Wayne Johnson, followed by Jeremy Redd and Matt Bradford. The Lions Club served dinner to the members of the Mens League who played in the tournament.
