Horrified COLE (D&C SEWELL SAN JUAN BUILDING SUPPLY 1050 S MAIN BLANDING 435 - 678 2000 DIVERSIFIED at deer killing Dear Editor: I was horrified to read about Rancher Wittwer of Enterprise who has murdered 73 deer this summer to protect his hay. He said the deer presented a nuisance and he needed to demonstrate this to the DWR. Meanwhile, the DWR stands around with their thumbs up their arses to make sure the deer are destroyed legally. Didn't anyone have the brains to come up with a humane solution to the problem? It never fails to amaze me that man continues to encroach on wildlife habitat--ye- t it's the fault of the animals that they only want to survive. Tell me, Farmer Wittwer, how many of those deer were females carrying babies? How many fawns did you destroy? Who is the evil one here you or the deer? The Bible says that charity is kind. The Doctrine and Covenants says that "Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used sparingly. And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine." 89:12-13- ) Sharon Marie Kent Blanding I JOIN THE TEAM!
