High They game was played on November 10 at Mountain View High School in Orem The Monticello offense was almost perfect, particularly quarterback Clint Adams. Adams completed 14 of 18 passes in the game. Kyle Curtis, Adams partner in the Buckaroo backfield, added four rushing touchdowns to lead the route. The Buckaroo defense had all they could handle in Rebel running back Sim Weston, who rumbled for nearly 200 yards. However, the defense was able to tighten up when Rich was in scoring position, and held the Rebels out of the endzone for most of the game. Rich started the game strong when Weston rumbled 55 yards to pay dirt on the fourth play from scrimage. Rich had a 0 lead less than two minutes into the contest. Garcia, Joe Adams, Ryan Valerio, Jeff Blankenagel, and TVavis Redd. Coach Mike Bowring was estactic over not just the game, but the entire season for Monticello. Bowring said, This team came out every week and never had a let down. They played a strong game every week. Bowring said that the key to the game was the Buckaroo defensive effort. He said the team knew the offense would be able to be put points on the board, but the key was to stop the Rich option offense. The Buckaroos did that for the most part, being particularly effective in stopping the Rich quarterback, who was hit hard on nearly every play from scrimmage. .
