Publisher - Editor BILL BOYLE Paste-u- Dear Editor: Some times a gTate idea comes along. Like the idea to drain Lake Powell. Since too many people are indulging in the noisy, vulgar pleasures on the lake such as boating, water skiing, fishing - yuk! we obviously need to drain the lake and turn the canyon over to its rightful owners - the Sierra Club. Then the card carrying members of the Sierra Club can enjoy the noble, politically correct quiet pleasures of floating down the river in their kayaks. We will need to replace the electric power generated by the dam with a coal burning power plant at Kaparowitz. Or better yet, a safe, clean, environmentally friendly nuclear plant! And next time Southern California is faced with a sever drought, as it was a few years ago when the water from Lake Powell was their salvation - well tell them AMANDA HILLHOUSE Proofreader DAWN BOYLE Darkroom smell.
