Show - 0 The Sampler, April 12, 1984 - Basketball has ended and son of sports at Dugway High. The latest athletic event for the jocks and s of Dugway is track and field. In previous years this sport has been taken rather lightly as a time to go out and goof off. However, the new coach at the high school has changed the outlook of the track team.' Coach Parry is the new wonder coach. He has added so much enthusiasm to the athletics of Dugway. Many know him as the football coach. This is a man that takes sports seriously. Every day there is a rigorous workout. He has complete control of the team and is well liked by the members. He is train, ing the football players year round, with a weight lifting program and now he is encouraging the boys to participate in track to keep them in jock-ette- shape. The boys track team has a . good turnout of about 20 guys. Field events have always been strong throughout Dugway's history of track and this year will be no ex- ception. Participating in the throwing and jumping events are: Kary Gardner, Dave Perkins, Alan Harvey, Rhode Shupe, Troy Prather, Larry Cole and Todd Christiansen.
