Two years ago, the teachers at the school decided that Cathy showed enough talent that they advanced her up into the Child- rens Dance Theater. This was no small accomplishment, as the school only accepted about 700 students, but then Cathy was chosen to join the elite group of 125 children in the CDT group. Her skills have presently taken her one step further. She was picked as one' of 40 students that are making the special trip to Europe for performances and lec- ture demonstrations. The top 40 dancers were selected by a joint board composed of instructors from both the Repertory Dance Theater which is the adult group and the Childrens Dance Theater.
