Show Page 7 THE DESERET SAMPLER, Friday, June 27, 1980 WEEKDAYS 9:30 to 8 SATURDAY 9 to 6 SUNDAY 11 to 5 Bustlers whip Century 21 25-- 6 Coach Wilfred Jacksons Dusters busted out for nine fourth-innin- g runs, highlighted by Brenda Humphreys three-ru- n homer, to beat Century 21 25-- and increase their unblemished record to 0 in league 6. 4-- play. An earlier contest with Mutt and Jeffs a week before was awarded to Dugway via a forfeit. THOUGH Century 21 jumped out to an early three-ru- n lead, their aggressiveness behind the plate incensed the Dusters and. sparked them to their total domination of the game. After Century 21 laced together four singles and a walk, the Dusters took the lead for good with six singles of their own by Robbin Wilkins, 4 Debbie Porter, Judy Price, Humphrey, Carla Sagers and Faye Scales. In the second inning, Nancy Webster drove in Jill Kirk with a double. Webster then scored as Porter belted one of her two doubles. the DusLeading by five, ters put Century 21 away in the fourth inning as Webster, Porter and Vicki Burke all smashed, doubles 8-- 3, while Price and Sagers laced singles. But the big blow in the inning be- get back the runs theyd given up in the top of thie inning. The Dusters capped their night by scoring six more runs in the sixth inning. Two walks and a pair of singles by Price and Scales brought home three runs before Burkes second double of the game scored Scales setting the stage for Gina Rincon. . THE back-u- second baseman p smashed a drive to right center which eluded the Century 21 outfielder. As Rincon made her way to third. Century 21 overthrew the base allowing her-- to score. ' Overall, Jackson was pleased with the womens efforts. We played really well after giving up those three runs at the start, he said. BUT Jackson returned to that first inning of play saying the women werent ready to play. We threw to the wrong base, a couple of times, he began, and dropped some easy pop flies.
