By Connie L. Rupp The office of the Materiel Test Directorate (MTD) itself has a Director, Deputy Director and a secretary. This small team tries to keep approximately 240 people working together smoothly and effectively. The Directorate has within its organization two offices and four divisions. The diagram illustrates these units and their relationships. Articles have been writ- .lll'U 9 ten about the individual units and their separate missions. The most important goal of the Director and his Deputy Director is one of management. A considerable amount of time is spent planing, controlling, communicating, and making decisions that affect the operation J O day-to-d- ay of Materiel Test units. MTD plans and executes the core test and evalua- tion functions of Dugway Proving Ground.
