NIPPLE HILL From the edge of a fast-paced highway, voices still speak from the canyon walls A few miles south of Hole N" the Rock, early travelers camped near here and left their names and hometowns. Note the name GEORGE FOX from April 1889. His name will appear again on a slab of rock just south of the Arches National Park Visitor Center. In 1935, a strange character named Aaron Andew came to Moab; while considered insane by some. he was a brilliant sculptor and carved his famous "King World’ sculpture near Moab. But he also left his mark at Hole N'the Rock. At Hole N" the Rock, the walls are full of old inscriptions, including this one by a young Loren "Bish" Taylor, future publisher of the Moab Times-Independent and current publisher Sam Taylor's father.
