Show AS — The Herald Journal Logan Utah Wednesday February 25 2004 Obituaries Special thanks for the kind care given Dad by the staff of Terrace Grove Assisted Living Tina Winters Dr Edward Redd and IHC Hospice Byington A very kind gentle and patient man Freeman J Sunday Feb 22 2004 at his home in Logan from VESTAL NY — Cora May Fallows Dutson 97 passed away Friday Feb 20 2004 She was bom Sept 19 1906 in Hyrum to George and Hulda Quamstrom Fallows When Cora was 13 years of age she moved with her family to Rupert Idaholn 1942 she moved to Logan where she married George W Dutson in the Logan LDS Temple Her home was at 473 W 100 South Cora had been an active member in the LDS Church ' senring in the Primary as secretary of the Relief Society and magazine representative She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands Judy and Richard F Brecht of Vestal NY and Coralee and Edwin J Baker Jr of Rohnert Park Calif six grandchildren-- ' Gary B Morinaga Kim’ Meiswinkef Jen Storey Richard A Brecht Jeffrey Brecht and Julie Brecht and 16 greatgrandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband and son Gary Funeral services are io be held at noon on Friday Feb 2004 at the Alien-Ha- ll 34 E Center St Logan Frierids may call one hourprior to the services Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery ' causes incident to age Freeman was bom Aug 6 1912 in the family farm home in Blazer Bannock County Idaho the son of Ettfe Sophia Smithies and Charles Norton Byington He attended school in Blazer ' Logan High School and received a bachelor's and master's degree in agronomy and plant breeding from Utah State University He married Doris '' Harper on Sept 17 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple He was a kind caregiver for her until her death in 1988 He served in the European Theatre in World War II as a Corporal in Battery A 868th Field Artillery 65th Division in Patton's Third Amiy He was the first inductee from Box Elder County Freeman served as Box Elder County Farmers Home Adminis- tration supervisor manager of the Box Elder County Bank and a management analyst at the Defense Depot in Ogden He served as president of the Tremonton and Brigham City Lions Clubs and the Box Elder Chamber of Commerce He dedicated his life to service in the LDS Church and ' served in numerous positions including bishoprics high council and doing temple work in Logan and Mesa Ariz!
