needs but her own In her spare time she loved working in her flower gardens creating Jewels In the earth She was loved and will be missed by aH those who knew or had met her She is survived by Garth Barker her husband of 34 years four sons Bret (Kelli) of Millville Justin of Logan Damon (Amber) of St George and Micah of Logan three grandchildren Kristen Torie and Mitchell Barker two sisters Mary graduating from the Cache County schools Janet loved animals She was always taking in and caring tar stray animals and had a natural talent for dog grooming She especially loved her children and Andrew Stewart and Mary Loosle Heggie He was the seventh child in a family of six sisters and one brother He married Verda Marie Jenson in the Logan LDS Temple on Jan 23 1947 A diy farmer by vocation he ' owned and operated their acreage with his father and brother Andrew in the production of wheat and alfalfa f His formal education included : North Cache High School and Utah State University where he ' received a bachelor's degree in ' industrial arts from the school of engineering Later in life he' contributed to the Agriculture Field of Learning at USU He was active in the LDS Church having served as ward clerk and bishop of the Clarkston Ward He always enjoyed music and was a member of the ward choir for many years As a'young man he fulfilled an LDS mission to the Eastern States In later years with his wife he &erved LDS mission to the an Philippines in the Smithfield Stake he was a member of the high court- dl stake clerk and second counselor in the Smithfield Stake presidency When the Smithfield Stake was divided he was sustained and set apart as stake patriarch In the new Benson Stake He was a generous contributor in deed and ser- vice wherever he was called to
