Show iyiimawp fH S ‘iTyyvrv1 r'p'fi1 i i The Herald Journal Logan Utah Sunday April 12001 —Page 29 Anniversaries Paid announcements Hoggans' 68th February and March are ' eventful months for Louis J' and Neta C Hoggan On Feb 15 2001 “Lou” celebrated his 9 1st birthday-an- on the same day Lou and Neta celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary On March 26 2001 Neta celebrated her 90th birthday Lou was born and raised in' Ogden Utah' and graduated from Ogden High School At age 12 he began working for the EC Olsen Company making fruit boxes by hand He worked for EC Olsen New York Life Insurance Agent and as cashier at Kee- leys in Ogden prior to her marriage After her family was raised she worked as a secretary in the Weber County School District Office Following Lou’s return from a mission in England for the race until his “final” ple on Feb On April 7 1951 Beth and Gerard were married in San ' Francisco Calif Gerard had been drafted into die US Army less than a year after immigrating to the US from The Netherlands He was stationed at Presidio of San Francisco for a year before being sent to Korea About a year after his return’ they bought a new home in San Mateo Calif and lived there of fQur children: until 1977- They lost their first son but Jesus Christ Church-o- f of Latter- Saints Lou and Neta -day married in the Salt Lake Tem15 1933 The Hoggans are the parents Breftt (LaConna) Hoggan of Logan Utah Caroline (Burke) Matts-so- n of Hacienda Heights Cali- (Clint) Judkins of Tremonton Utah and 15 grandchildren and 40 Service in their church has "alwaiys been a priority in the en ’ Hoggans’ lives Lou has served as Elder's Quorum President Ward -
