Show 2— CEU— Monday April The Eagle speaks class elections were held in the fall of this year questions arose as to the procedure that should be followed in an election Due to the concern of a few students it was decided that a committee would be formed to rewrite this section in CEU's constitution The goal of this group was to set some rules and guidelines to follow when elections are held Michelle Powell head of the committee told the Eagle that she has planned and held three meetings advertised them well and had only four people to each meeting So far there has not been enough representation to make any change in the constitution itself The petition deadline for those running for 1977-7- 8 Studentbody offices is April 11 The candidates for the Social offices of President Academic AWS Secretary Publicity President and AMS President will be campaigning April 12 and 13 and finalizing their activities in the forum on the 14th After the forum voting will begin The Eagle has given you these facts because we are concerned that the amount of response four people to the attempt to better the election procedures may be a sign of the support and involvement elections can expect to get We certainly hope not The selection of new officers needs to be taken seriously by every student at CEU The returning students for next year have one of their most important chances to contribute to the governing of the school right now They can have a say in decisions made next year by voting for the people they feel will reflect their own ideas The outgoing Sophomores also have a responsibility to support elections The Eagle would like to see some real enthusiasm and concern towards elections this year We also hope the election procedure will satisfy those who had criticisms last fall Vice-Preside- nt Vice-Preside- nt nt ££ Editor Position Notice Editors for 1977-7- 8 Yearbook and Newspaper wH be appointed J soon full Submit applications to any tuition Scholarship CEU of latest contest Editor: As Vice-Preside- 'Go Fly a Kite' is theme The Eagle Listens 1977 11 Studentbody Officer it $ extra-curricul- 'We're glad to know you!' by Simone Larson on an inbeginner termediate ski slope and rolled to the bottom?
