Service awards were given to the member of the Executive Council Yearbook Staff Newspaper Staff AWS Officers AMS officers Senators Pom Pom girls Sophomore and Freshman class officers Dory Dorman AMS President gave special recognition to Terry Bikakis and Robert Thurman for their help throughout the year Joy Peterson PMO instructor presented the sophomore members of the Blue Debs with two yar pins for their outstanding service to the athletic program and the school Those receiving pins were: Launa Migliore Gerri Stanton Kristen Diamanti Pat Gonatakis Judy Spencer Alane Truscott and Mv-r- a Dnuros In giving the P E award to Launa Mrs Peterson stated "Launa has been an outstanding student while here at CEU She is a Physical Educa-(i- o malor and has more than twenty hours in this field In her freshman year she was a member of the Blue Debs the Pep squad a Pom Pom girl and in th Spring Dance Program She has been active both years in Gymnastics Modem and Jazz dance During her sophomore year she has served as Captain of (he Blue Debs Head of the Pep squad and as a member of the Collegiate Council She was a member of the dance troupe for the musical "The Music Man” She is very deserving of this award" The race for Most Valuable Student of the Graduating Gass was a close one Mavlcen Balle was chosen for this honor with Kristen Diamati and Scott Halverson as 1st and 2nd runners-u- p Sue Gearp was chose by the faculty wome to receive their outstanding scholarship award for the Freshman Women Other students receiving awards of scholarships for their work in the various departments were: Rand Torgerson leader-shi- n Wayne Erickson Renatc Kell Judith Christensen Diane Gwen Bishop Craig Music Mimi Carnival!
