College and the principal of Carbon High welcomed the in the National Guard Armory and introduced Vernon Merrill vice president M Men ill asked for from the juniors for the year lie said "Carbon High offers just as much if not more freedom than any othr school in the state but with freedom corns responsibility" Dr David Cox dean of men encouraged the juniors to take advantage of the counseling program offered at Carbon Mrs Verda Peterson high school girls’ counselor informed the juniors that they could wield a great amount of power because they have such a large class unit James Pappas student body president provided the juniors with dances and assemblies offered by Carbon (3) participate in the activities He urged the students to attend such activities as baseball football track wrestling speech events etc' He said "If the students of Carbon would attend the games then maybe wo could get people from the outside to come" Fail asked the juniors to pay special attention to the well as participation in activities Results Of t National Test Announced The results of the National it Scholarship tests which were given to one hundred and sixty-fojunior students April 29 1958 were Aleen B Ivie dean of women at Carbon College stated “The test results will be available for school officials teachers and individual students in planning future courses This should enable eh student
