classes were organized this week at Carbon College According to Elmo Geary director of adult education the following classes will be offered: Modem Dance (1 hour credit) Don Steele Art and Art Crafts (3 hours credit) Carl E Olsen Beginning Italian (5 hours credit) Father Moersman Beginning Spanish (5 hours credit) Forenso Jaramillo (this class to be held in Dragcrton) Beginning Accounting (4 hours credit) John Yack Advanced Shorthand (5 hours credit) Mary Margaret Flaim Drafting (5 hours credit) Fred Longhurst Community Theater The One-APlay (1 hour credit) Don Moffitt and Ruth Hoyt Chemistry 1 (5 hours credit) Alfonso Trujilloi World History (5 hours credit) Ted Warner Landscape Painting (3 hours credit) Carl E Olsen (This class to be held in Green River) The evenings for the various class meetings will be selected by the students and the instructor for each class independently to suit the convenience of those enrolled High school students will be permitted to enroll in these classes Building on December 3 1957 Terry is an outstanding student in the junior class at Carbon High School He was assisted in his concert by Miss Beverly Kel- ler clarinetist Christmas Assembly Presented loyal musketeers Johnny Clover and Spud Erwin editor and business manager of the Preston high school Penguin when Susan high pressures herself into the position of assistant editor Before the curtain falls on the second act Susan — always with the best possible intentions — has almost bankrupt the Penguin shaken the friendship of the musketeers and given them the measles When her innocent will be packed with entertainment also Programs to be presented on Car Accident The afternoon of January 1 brought a terrifying experience to four Carbon College students on the Indian Canyon road While driving home from a sleigh riding party with about 25 other Carbonitcs Keith Burnett the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle which dropped 200 feet into a ravine rolling over five times and hitting two trees Marilyn Droz who received back injuries was most seriously hurt Shanna Evans Bryce Baker and Keith Burnett were badly shaken but not seriously injured Keith and Marilyn who were in the front scat were thrown from the car while Shanna and Bryce in the back scat stayed In the car until it reached the bottom The loss of the car was total Keith Shanna and Bryce have returned to school but Marilyn will be in the hospital for several weeks The play is directed by Neil Warren Carbon high school dramatics instructor He was assisted by Rcba Kcelc and Susan Worth-c- n student directors Scheduled for performance on January 29 30 and 31 is the three act modern comedy “The Teahouse of the August Moon” Adapted from a play by John Patrick the comedy is the work of Vcrn Snicdcr Pulitzer prize winner and Critics' Circle award winner The play will be presented in the auditorium of the Price Municipal Building in the evening of the first two dates and as a matinee for students on the third date Mr Elmo G Geary director has Established in Price No-fuli- ch The Veterc Television System is making finai preparation for the opening of a closed circuit tele- vision system Approximately $30-00- 0 in TV cameras and equipment will be installed at the Vetere Building in the West end of Price The new station is expected to begin operation near the end of January Hours for
