Show Christmas (greetings CARBON COLLEGE PRICE Volume No 21 To UTAH FRIDAY DECEMBER 16 1955 Carbon Freshman Back Club Trip From 4-- Carbon College Given Permission Carbon College hag been given permission by the copywriters of Rodgers and Ilammcrstcin to present the major production “Okla- homa" This privilege which has been refused to many of the universities and larger colleges throughout the United States will permit the music and speech departments of Carbon to stage “Oklahoma" as the major musical presentation of the year Plans are now being made by Mr Elmo Geary speech director and Mrs Dorothy Brown music instructor to set the date for February 14 and 15 At the present time it is believed that all casting will be made from high school and college students without any outside support Anyone who is interested is urged to submit a written application to Mr Geary or Mrs Brown fgor tryouts which will be held next week to cast the principle singing and speaking parts All applications must he turned in by Monday December 19 at 4 pm Seminary Drive Draws to a Close Twelve enthusiastic debaters DS Thru?
