will the beef trust the department ot commerce and labor through the bureau of corpora alons Is making an investigation into the operations of the so called beef trust A part of the investigation Is being conducted in accordance with a resolution passed by the house of rep recently to the adoption of the resolution the depart ment through its regular channels had collected and tabulated certain information regarding the beet trust the resolution which was drafted by representative martin of south da kota requested the department of to ascertain it possible the cause of the difference in price be tween beef on the hoof and dressed beef it was pointed out that western stockmen believed that they were be ing discriminated against by the trust
