| Show THAT NEW ORDINANCE I 1 he new ordinance regarding peddler peddlers solicitors etc is being violated almost every dav day and the officers apparently do not care to enforce it the town ie is overrun with grafters the very people who would lie be kept out it this ord nance names was properly enforced A short time ago a representative ot of the union coffee spice company ot of salt lake violated this measure by peddling without going to the trouble of aking oat out a licen alicene le he wai was arrested and taken before the justice of the peace who foint him guilty and assessed a fine of one dollar and costs the defendant simply ignored h 5 honor and picked up his hat walked out neither Neit laer the fine or the costs were paid it the present ordinance which was tho resell result of several month mouths s labor by former city attorney holzheimer Holz henner does not fill lill the bill why don t the council make another effort and if possible rem edy this evil |
