FORGOT THEIR ORDERS arrither Ar rother D wreck as result of carelessness of tra n crew failure upon the part ut a fre crew to observe orders resulted in a coll slon on the denver grande railroad which resulted in the injury of fifteen persons one of them fatally the wreck occurred near portland colo at an early hour saturday morn ing train no the san francisco salt lake ch cago express while running about th arty five miles an hour on time and with a clear right of way when within antle and halt of port land crashed head on into a west bound freight train running twenty miles an hour and a fearful wreck re suited the accident was due to the failure of the freight tram which w as late to take the siding at portland and allow the passenger train which was run ning on schedule time and had the right of way to pass
