The approved projects are for the following areas: 300 West to 350 West - Sidewalk only 402 North to 466 North - Sidewalk only 466 North to 500 North - Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk. Councilmember Sower moved that the Mayor be authorized to sign the project agreements with the Utah Department of Transportation. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Smith. Councilmember Sower announced that he planned to resign his Council position effective August 6, 1996. He indicated that he understood that a notice period of fourteen (14) days must first pass before the Council can act to fill the vacancy. However, previously outgoing Councilmembers have recommended individuals for appointment consideration.
