The 6 1/2 furlong race for 2-year-old Thoroughbreds carried a total purse of $12,110., with $5,702.80 going to the first place winner. The filly, by Nostalgia Star and out of Always A Memory, was trained by Alton Marshall. Dance owned Bob Carter and Coulee Day were back in the winner's circle after the Ely Prep race on August 6.
