| Show Ephraim library to observe National Library Week The citizens of Ephraim are invited to make a special date during the week of April 18 through the to visit the Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim Public Library This week has been designated ted as National Library Week and the local library will observe ob observe observe ob- ob serve the occasion with special special special cial events planned for elementary elementary elemen elemen- tary and junior high students and with an open house for the public to be held Tuesday April between 3 and pm p.m. Special books booles to be featured at the open house are three new volumes contributed to the library by the American Legion Auxiliary in memory of past members Ada Larsen Anna Anderson and Marge Reagan Other books to be featured are two volumes contributed in memory of A A. A Wells Thom Thom- son who served many years as a library board member and who was a constant supporter supporter supporter sup sup- porter of the library and bookmobile bookmobile bookmobile book book- mobile services in this area The library will also have on display two new flags a Utah flag recently purchased and anda a large American flag contributed contributed contributed contrib contrib- to the library by Merrill Merr ll Anderson in memory of hisson his hisson hisson son Venoy Merrill Anderson who was lost at sea In the Battle of Midway in June of 1942 A special feature of the open house will be the attendance of Snow College athletes who will greet the sports fans who come into the library to meet them A special invitation is extended to the junior high and high school students to drop into the library after school on Tuesday Students and adults are invited to browse through the book displays and enjoy light refreshments before leav leav- ing Another special day Is slated for Friday when anyone who has an overdue book may bring it back and will not be assessed a fine Ephraim library officials no noted noted noted no- no ted that the Ephraim library Isan Isan is isan an institution of which the local citizens can be proud They en encourage encourage en- en courage everyone to use these facilities they belong to them |
