Show POOL PLANS architect C F wells has completed t the he drawings for the public swimming pool at the city park the specifications call for a cement wall feet extending ending east and west and six feet high ad a wall 64 feet long extending north from the other wall same to be I 1 six feet at highest p point and boint craded down to the natural grade de line at the north shore of the po pool ol 01 these walls are designed to be constructed of reinforced cement with a flaring bottom firmly anchored in the aroun ground and they will be twelve inches wide on oil top with a flange projecting out a couple of inches steel rod tracings brac ings will be placed under the flange at various distances and run down into the foundation to reinforce the hie wan wall so as to insure its stability under high pressure the bottom of tile the pool will le be covered with four inches of mountain sand and the outlet will be placed at a point to admit of all the water being drawn off so that the pool peal can be supplied with fresh water every day if desired the water will increase in depth from the shore line to six feet against the retaining walla walia that there will be plenty of water ter for swimming and diving mr N C simonsen has asked tor for bids on the construction of the cement walls and they will be opened next friday evening ile he is very anxious to get the work under way and states amatea that once it is begun it can be finished in three weeks it Is proposed to have the pool ready for use ilse before the summer goes by |
