M M Parramore Parramore Parra- Parra Parramore more and also for a brief time under tinder President Brown Bruce left Brussells by Jet at 9 am a.m. Saturday September and arrived in Salt Lake City at 1030 pm p.m. that same evening A large troup of family family fam fam- ily lIy members and friends were on hand to meet him at the airport Mrs Peterson had a a large sign proclaiming Welcome Welcome Wel Welcome come home Bruce which the young returning missionary might see as he stepped of off the plane Unknown to the Petersons Petersons Petersons Peter Peter- sons the young traveling companion companion companion com com- panion of their son another returning missionary was also named Bruce so both young men felt welcomed to their home state Those at the airport to greet Bruce Included Mr and Mrs LeRoy Peterson Ephraim Mr and Mrs Ronald Peterson and family Kearns Mr Mr and Mrs Bert Carpenter and son Mr and Mrs Dee Rees Christensen Christen Christen- sen and children Mr and Mrs Richard Peterson and children Mrs Richard Petersons Peterson's father father father fath fath- er George Manwaring Miss Kathy and her sister and husband Mr and Mrs Robert Winget all of Salt Lake City The missionary's grandmother grandmother grandmother grand grand- mother Mrs Eleanor R. R Hansen Hansen Han- Han Hansen sen was also there to meet her grandson After spending Saturday night and Sunday in Salt Lake City the Petersons their son Bruce and Mrs Hansen returned to their homes on Monday Bruce reports that he enjoyed enjoy enjoy- ed his mission very much andis and andis andis is grateful for the opportunity which he has had to serve He plans to enroll at Snow College fall quarter Mr and Mrs L L. R Burr were In Salt Lake City this past week visiting with Grant Thursby who recently underwent underwent underwent under under- went surgery on his leg at the the Hospital Grant is reported re reported reported re- re ported to be Improving and isable isable Is Isable able to walk a little He has now been released to the home of his daughter and her husband husband husband hus hus- band Mr and Mrs Glen Beere Larkspur Drive Sandy Grants Grant's wife Josie has also been in the Cottonwood Hospital Hospi Hospi- tal recovering from an operation operation opera opera- tion Hon for stomach ulcers She is improving and after this week will be released and will wUl also go to her daughter Son Sonja's jas ja's home to recuperate Mr and Mrs Alonzo Hansen Hansen Hansen Han- Han sen Mrs Edna Anderson and Mrs Gladys Sparks enjoyed a day at the circus last week They were driven into Salt Lake City by Moyle Anderson son of Mrs Anderson They viewed th the show held In the Salt Palace Palace Palace Pal Pal- ace on Saturday afternoon Later Later Later La La- ter that evening they were guests at a party held at the home of Mrs Sparks' Sparks son and law in Mr and Mrs LaRell LaBell Sparks This was a party for all the Hansen cousins A few days later Alonzo and Bell Gladys and Edna enjoyed a drive to Parleys Parley's Canyon with their brother Grover Hansen Hansen Hansen Han Han- sen to the mountain home of Grovers Grover's son and his wife Mr and Mrs Lloyd Hansen After staying overnight the guests were brought home on Tuesday by Grover and his daughter Mrs Allen Bennion While In Salt Lake City Mrs Sparks visited with a daughter and her family Mr and Mrs John B choff and family |
