Hearst Sr furnishings from the home were taken from the Hearst Castle at San Simeon The second home was the William William William Wil Wil- liam B. B Malouf home Mr Malouf Malouf Malouf Ma- Ma louf being a very noted artist The home had a magnificent collection of paintings china and glass Another home was the Bellmont San Chez home which was done in hues of rhapsody in blue Luncheon was at the Shadow Shadow Shadow Sha Sha- dow Mountains Club The guest of honor there was Mrs Dwight D. D Eisenhower who was very gracious beautiful and charming charm charm- ing The next stop was at the Jacqueline Cochran Odium Ranch the home of the famous American aviatrix The spectacular spectacular spectacular ular home was full of Indian artifacts and aviation trophies Refreshments were served and General Dwight D. D Eisenhower visited the group at the ranch On the return trip from California California California Cali Cali- fornia they again visited with Mr and Mrs Glendon Jones and family Mrs D Doke ke stated that she had never seen the desert in such prolific bloom the Joshua Palms were beautiful Yucca lillies were out and desert flowers flowers flowers flow flow- ers were all in bloom Arriving home on April they were happy to be at their home in Ephraim despite seeing the splendor of some of the other homes in another part of the country On Friday Dr Fred and Mrs Pashley Joy and children arrived arrived arrived ar ar- ar- ar rived at the Doke home from Billings Montana en route to Tucson where Dr Pashley is giving giving giving ing a series of lectures at the University of Arizona Within three days time the Dokes had had the pleasure of visiting three of their daughters from three different different different dif dif- dif dif- ferent states |
