Sportsmanship Code be published It Is hoped that not only students but adult fans will conduct their behavior In keeping with the Code Sportsmanship should be of prime Importance in all school activities athletic or otherwise and that without it the good name and reputation of the Manti REGION SEVEN SPORTSMANSHIP CODE Remembering that Sportsmanship should be of prime importance in all school activities athletic or otherwise and that without it the good name and reputation of our school are in danger of being lost the Region Seven Student Councils do hereby adopt the following Sportsmanship Code and pledge themselves to observe its principles Our students should set a good example in the matter of sportsmanship and quickly condemn like conduct on the part of other students or adults To this end they should 1 Remember that a spectator represents his school and community the same as does the athlete 2 Respond with enthusiasm to the calls of the cheerleader cheerleader cheer cheer- leader for yells in support of the team 3 Do not express approval of rough play or poor sportsmanship on the part of anyone representing the school 4 Be courteous to and considerate of visiting schools 5 Recognize and applaud an e exhibition of fine or good sportsmanship on the part of all participants 6 Accept decisions of officials without question 7 Show due respect for our national anthem as well as for any schools school's song 8 Be courteous to the pep clubs or other organizations when they march or perform 9 At non athletic contests such as music drama speech and assembly programs show programs show courtesy and respect to the participants OUR SCHOOLS SHOULD 1 Provide for adequate seating according to their own facilities for their own students as well as members of th the visiting school 2 Each school will do all it can to promote good sportsmanship 3 Support in their entirety the rules of eligibility and their strict enforcement 4 Impress upon the
