Show J 1 Seminary Group t 1 Comes To Manti Mang j For Excursion E j i jf iI I A large group of of Seminary stu students stun J f dents journeyed from Portland r Oregon to the Manti Temple last I week to participate in baptismal i WM work i Coming from the Columbia River and North Columbia River I f Stakes the young people b between between be be- tween the ages of 1418 18 under the supervision of Otis Randall 1 of Portland were hosted by the East Sharon Stake in Provo Homes were opened to them and meals and entertainment provided They traveled from i Provo to Manti ManU on three successive successive successive I sive days and did 2700 baptisms Through group projects and other other oth oth- er activities the students earned 1 the entire to pay their expenses and charter the nine busses required to transport I Ithem them their supervisors and 1 chaperones people in all I IOther Other requirements were also j met to be eligible for the trip including preparation of family group sheets etc I I At the conclusion of the temple 1 activity the group attended the theMIA theMIA I MIA Dance Festival in Salt I. I Lake City in which a number of them participated I Sunday evening they held a i d special fast and testimony meeting meeting meet meet- j I ing at the East Sharon Stake T House in Provo and those in 1 attendance report that it was a arich I Irich irich rich spiritual experience with many marvelous testimonies being being be be- i 3 ing borne by the young folks t This trip to the Manti ManU Temple I was the eighth such annual project project j to be sponsored by these I stakes Each year they visit a I different temple and to date have completed a total of baptisms i Ji |
