At the mine the ore graded from .50 to 2Vt per cent uranium oxide, or from $80 to $400 per ton. The companys 14 claims are located 37 miles southwest of Hawthorne near the East Walker river in Lyon county. They were leased in May, 1955, and since a 100 shaft, 7x8, has been sunk, after bulldozing opened a cut 200 long, in which ore has been uncovered for its full length. The hearing will be held on December 12, 1956, at 10:00 A.M. in Room 193. at the office of the Commission, 425 Second Street, N.W., Washington, D. C. The proposed amendments would have the effect of making the general exemption from registration under the Securities Act of 1933 which is affonled by Regulation A available only to issuers and offerings meeting specified standards based either upon the existence of a record of net securities which might be issued pursuant to the exemption. Water levels in observation wells in the northern part of Utah rose during the water year, it is noted in the Water Resources report of the U. S. Geological Survey for the period ending Sept. 30, 1956. . The level in a well at Logan rose more than three feet during the year, but the level in a well at Holladay decided more than one foot. In the central part of the state water levels continued to decline in response to increased withdrawals of ground water for irrigation.
