Salt Lake City, Utah Ore Moves From Wyomings Rich Gas Hills Two States, Valley Dean Ship Ore To Riverton First shipments of ore from the Bountiful claims in the rich east Gas Hills, Wyo. area were delivered to the Riverton, Wyo. ore buying station recently by Two States Uranium Co. and - Valley Dean. Two States, headed by Dr. Dean K. Christensen, Salt Lake City, president, shipped 14 tons from the Bountiful No. 9 claim, originally purchased for 9100 from the Bountiful No. 9 claim, Shoni Uranium Corp. Valley Deans shipment came from the Bountiful No. 1 claim. Both companies are working from a huge open pit measuring 1200 feet long at the top and 120 feet deep. More than 400,000 cubic yards of dirt have been removed to date to get the main ore body. Einar Erickson, Provo, Utah geologist and superintendent of the properties, said known ore reserves on the Bountiful properties has been set at 100,000 tons. The main body, he said ,is 20 feet thick with several bodies of lesser thickness surrounding it. Estimated worth of blocked out ore runs over $21 million. The mine is located in See. 28, Fremont county, approximately 3)4 miles southeast of Lucky Me and Vitro properties.
